Celebrating 15 Years of Flowerday Fertility Law
Fifteen years ago, I left Bay Street litigation with nothing but hope in my heart and a vision shaped by becoming a parent. Back then, I was a family litigator at a big Toronto law firm, spending my days in the middle of high-stakes courtroom battles. But when my first child was born in 2004, everything shifted.
Parenthood was transformative. It brought clarity, redefined my priorities, and revealed a deeper calling I could no longer ignore.
After welcoming two more children in 2006 and 2008, my purpose became undeniable: I wanted to dedicate my career to helping others experience the same profound joy of building a family.
In 2010, that calling took form in the creation of Flowerday Fertility Law. What began as a deeply personal decision soon evolved into a lifelong professional passion.
Trading Courtrooms for Cradles: The Story Behind Flowerday Fertility Law, Canada & Beyond
In 2010, I launched Flowerday Fertility Law with a clear mission: to make family-building through assisted reproduction safer, and a more accessible, supported, and joyful experience. What began as a one-person practice has grown into a trusted, leading Canadian fertility law firm working proudly with Intended Parents, Surrogates, egg and sperm Donors, agencies, and clinics across Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and beyond.
Each family’s journey is unique. And every time I see Intended Parents fall in love with their newborn, or witness the selfless generosity of a Surrogate or Donor, I’m reminded why I chose this path. These moments remain the heart of my work and the greatest fulfillment of my career.

Giving Back: Plaid Fertility Law – Fertility & Surrogacy Agreements in Canada
As Flowerday Fertility Law celebrates its 15th anniversary, I’m proud to mark a new chapter in our journey: the launch of Plaid Fertility Law.
Plaid was created to meet a growing need to overcome long wait times, slow legal processes, and the urgency that often defines fertility journeys. In a space where every day matters, legal delays should never stand in the way of building a family.
Plaid is a secure, cloud-based, digital-first platform that simplifies third-party fertility agreements in Canada, including surrogacy, egg donation, sperm donation, and embryo donation. It’s designed for individuals and couples experiencing infertility, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and solo parents offering a more accessible, efficient, and inclusive path through fertility law.
For me, Plaid is a thank-you, a way to honour the trust my clients have placed in me, and a commitment to making family-building faster, less stressful, and more accessible for everyone.
